Quran Translation Course

Course Overview

The Quran translation course allows students to access the miracle of the Quran first hand. Students will delve into the grammatic subjects of Nahw, sarf and dictionary skills in order to acquire the necessary skills to navigate through the entire Quran confidently. After completion of any of the courses below, students are given the opportunity to delve into other Islamic sciences at a deeper level in their second year.

  1. Full time quran translating course – QTF
    This course is aimed at those who have a dying passion to fully understand the Quran and would like to find ways that they could share this love.

    1. This course allows for the students to translate entire Quran.
    2. Students are trained to serve the community from an early stage through leadership programs and performing jumaah solah.
    3. Student’s knowledge and understanding will be strengthened through teaching and supporting struggling students within the course.
  2. Part time quran translating course -QTP
    This course aims to give everyone the opportunity to understand and translate the Quran, but due to work and life constraints, are not able to commit to a full time study.

    1. This course allows students to translate 10 juz of the Quran, as well as the ability to translate anywhere else in the Quran confidently.
    2. To improve understanding, students will be doing group work, quizzes, and paired teaching amongst other things.
  3. Online Quran translating course – QTO
    This course allows those who do not live in Brisbane to have the opportunity to learn to translate the Quran, it allows them to connect with like minded students from around Australia.

    1. This course will allow students to translate 10 juz from the Quran, as well as the ability to translate anywhere else in the Quran confidently.
    2. This course will be live streamed from the part time Quran translating course, and the recording will be made available online.
    3. Not only will students be able to interact with the teacher live, there will be personal phone and video chat sessions to the students in order that the teachers has a true grasp of the students understanding.
  4. Full boarding Arabic and shariah course – QTB
    This course is for those students who feel they want to endeavor down the path of becoming an alim/scholar.

    1. This course replicates the true studying conditions in a traditional madrasah. Students will have to move to Brisbane.
    2. Apart from translating the entire Quran, the students will be given extra Arabic readers to diversify and strengthen their Arabic skills.
    3. Students will be doing many extra-curricular activities in order that they truly understand the Australian context and the need of our time. These include leading prayers, youth programs, teaching, and spiritual upliftment programs.
    4. This course is only for selected students who have passes an interview with the Principal of Al Tadhkirah institute.

Course Structure

  • Full time quran translating course – QTF
    1. Students must attend class at Slacks Creek mosque from Monday to Thursday.
    2. Students must be punctual on time from 8.20am – 1.00 pm.
    3. The course runs on four terms in conjunction with the Queensland public school holidays.
    4. There will be fortnightly assessment to determine students’ progress and area of focus, this assessment is important for the teacher in order to improve his teaching.
    5. There will be a final test at the end of the year in order to graduate and receive a certificate of completion.
  • Part time quran translating course –QTP
    1. Students must attend class at Slacks Creek mosque from Monday to Friday.
    2. Students must be punctual on time from 7.00pm to 9.00pm
    3. The course runs on four terms in conjunction with the Queensland public school holidays.
    4. There will be fortnightly assessment to determine students’ progress and area of focus, this assessment is important for the teacher in order to improve his teaching.
    5. There will be a final test at the end of the year in order to graduate and receive a certificate of completion.
  • Online Quran translating course – QTO
    1. Students must be in the live classes or watch all of the recorded classes
    2. Students must complete specifically allocated online tasks.
    3. Students must engage in a personal engagement with the teacher or staff at least once a fortnight, it may be via phone call or video call.
    4. There will be fortnightly assessment to determine students’ progress and area of focus, this assessment is important for the teacher in order to improve his teaching.
    5. There will be a final test at the end of the year in order to graduate and receive a certificate of completion.
  • Full boarding Arabic and shariah course – QTB
    1. Students will be attending or be on madrasah/masjid premises from 7.30 am until isha.
    2. Classes will be running from Monday to Saturday, Saturday only being half day, Sunday will be off.
    3. Students Quran recitation, memorisation and tajweed lessons will be done.
    4. Students’ assessment will be done on a weekly basis.
    5. The course runs on four terms in conjunction with the Queensland public school holidays.
    6. There will be a final test at the end of the year in order to graduate and receive a certificate of completion.

Additional activities and content will be given when students successfully enroll.

Enrollment Pattern

All of the courses will begin, end and have the same holidays. Unfortunately due to time constraints set by the course, there will still be classes on public holidays, but this may change subject to circumstance.

Term one – Monday 21 January – Friday April 5

Term two – Monday 15 april – Friday 28 june

Term three – Monday 8 july – Friday 20 september

Term four – Monday September 30th – November 29th

Graduation 30th September*(subject to situation, may change)

Adult Quran Class

under arguably one of the best reciter of Quran in Australia, Imam Akraam Buksh has taught hundreds of students to recite the Quran perfectly.

Hifz Course

a place where our youth can learn to memorise the Holy Quran with the objective that by the time they complete school.
– courses run from Monday to Friday
– classes from 4.30pm – 7.00pm
– classes are conducted

Afterschool Madrasah

Children’s madrasah – our madrasah provides quality islamic education to over 100 students four days a week.
